Spontaneous Vacation Camp is back!!
APRIL VACATION CAMP 4/21-4/24
Kids Grades 2-6
Cost: $400 for the week and individual days may be considered if there is room - day rate is $100/day - sliding scale is available and no questions asked
In this camp, youth will participate in artmaking, bucket drumming, and performing arts activities, with an emphasis on creative play and moving our bodies! The group will also play outside, weather permitting.
To secure your child's spot, please fill out this google form. Once registration is received we will follow up with a form to fill out with health info, a waiver, and instructions for payment. Please share with friends you think might be interested!

FREE Senior Wellness Classes
Get your body and mind intune and while connecting with community on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Spontaneous Celebrations community center in Jamaica Plain (45 Danforth St).

SolFest
Join us for our annual SolFest: Solar Equinox Celebration and Feast! All funds raised will support the JP Lantern Parade on October 18th and 19th.
Solfest tickets include a farm-to-table banquet and barbecue from 5-7 PM. We will offer plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, as well as one or two meat dishes.
Enjoy music by Zili Misik performed outdoors (weather permitting) from 6-8 PM. There will also be lantern-making, crafts, dancing, and more!
A cash bar will be available, featuring wine, beer, and mocktails.
Ticket prices are as follows:
$15 for Kids (kid meal ticket)
$35 for Adults (adult meal ticket)
$50 for Festival Sponsor (meal ticket and free lantern)
$100 for Festival Fool (meal ticket and free lantern)
Movie Night Potluck
Join us for a fun-filled evening at our Movie Night Potluck on Friday, August 8, at Spontaneous Celebrations. Bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy a great movie with community members. Check back for details.
Open Mic Potluck
Bring a tasty dish and your music, poetry, prose, or comedy. Engage with the community. Enjoy the AC!

Stitch & Bitch Potluck
Y(e)arning for good food and community? Bring your fiber arts projects to our Friday potluck for an evening of full tummies, bright smiles, and clicking knitting needles! Our July Stitch and Bitch Potluck is the perfect place to crochet, knit, or sew! We will be setting up the Spontaneous sewing machines, and limited yarn will be provided! Bring knitting or crochet needles. Enjoy our air-conditioner! See you there!
FREE Summer Yoga series
Every Saturday through August 23, yoga teachers will lead the Spontaneous Summer Yoga Series in the Boston area. This is an open-level yoga class designed to accommodate all levels of yoga experience.
Classes are free and open to all. All you need to bring is a yoga mat, a water bottle, and perhaps a friend.
Donations to the instructors are encouraged and appreciated. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

The 47th Annual Wake Up the Earth Festival
The 47th annual Wake Up the Earth Festival will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM.
Parades will start at 11 AM from Curtis Hall and at 11:30 AM from the Egleston Square Peace Garden.

Age Strong Senior Wellness Classes
Older Adults are welcome to join us for this FREE series of wellness classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Memorial Day, organized by the City of Boston’s new Age Strong initiative.
