SolFest
Join us for our annual SolFest: Solar Equinox Celebration and Feast! All funds raised will support the JP Lantern Parade on October 18th and 19th.
Solfest tickets include a farm-to-table banquet and barbecue from 5-7 PM. We will offer plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, as well as one or two meat dishes.
Enjoy music by Zili Misik performed outdoors (weather permitting) from 6-8 PM. There will also be lantern-making, crafts, dancing, and more!
A cash bar will be available, featuring wine, beer, and mocktails.
Ticket prices are as follows:
$15 for Kids (kid meal ticket)
$35 for Adults (adult meal ticket)
$50 for Festival Sponsor (meal ticket and free lantern)
$100 for Festival Fool (meal ticket and free lantern)
POTLUCK and PLANT DIVIDE/PRODUCE SWAP
Bring a dish to share and your extra produce from your garden and plants you would like to thin out. Exchange with other gardeners and help feed some friends with healthy veggies!!

Y(e)arning for good food and community? Bring your fiber arts projects to our Friday potluck for an evening of full tummies, bright smiles, and clicking knitting needles! Our July Stitch and Bitch Potluck is the perfect place to crochet, knit, or sew! We will be setting up the Spontaneous sewing machines, and limited yarn will be provided! Bring knitting or crochet needles. Enjoy our air-conditioner! See you there!
FREE Summer Yoga series
Every Saturday through August 23, yoga teachers will lead the Spontaneous Summer Yoga Series in the Boston area. This is an open-level yoga class designed to accommodate all levels of yoga experience.
Classes are free and open to all. All you need to bring is a yoga mat, a water bottle, and perhaps a friend.
Donations to the instructors are encouraged and appreciated. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

The 47th Annual Wake Up the Earth Festival
The 47th annual Wake Up the Earth Festival will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 12 PM to 6 PM.
Parades will start at 11 AM from Curtis Hall and at 11:30 AM from the Egleston Square Peace Garden.

Introducing....the Spontaneous Activist Art Camp!

Grades 2-6
Cost: $400 per week or $100 per day, a sliding scale is available
In this camp, youth will pick topics that are important to them and learn how to make visuals and music that will raise awareness about their topic. With an emphasis on having fun and moving our bodies, the group will also play outside, weather permitting.
To register, please fill out this google form. Once registration is received, we will follow up with a form to fill out with health info, a waiver, and instructions for payment.

It's baaaaack! Break the Chains queer dance party's infamous BIG GAY HALLOWEEN comes to Spontaneous Celebrations this year, and it's completely FREE! (Suggested donation of $0-$30)
Featuring performances from MINT GREEN and THE FEMME'S BAND, DJs, dancing, costume contests, and more!
It's open to all ages. A cash bar is available for those 21+ with ID. Food for donation. It's tons of fun!
Performers will be paid thanks to a grant from the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement.
