The spring has returned, and with it our annual Jamaica Plain tradition to WAKE UP THE EARTH!
On May 1st, the 32nd annual Wake Up The Earth Festival will celebrate the best of our community: rich cultural diversity, community arts, a commitment to social change and the parks and gardens that are the result of tireless community organizing. Beginning with a parade down Centre Street in full regalia, the Festival fosters a deep sense of community stewardship and pride.
This year's festival will include dancers, stiltwalkers, drummers, music, storytelling, popular theatre, food vendors, crafts, youth stage, children's activities and more. The festival will also feature a performance by the nationally recognized Vermont theatre company Bread and Puppet!
Community members like YOU are the only ones that can ensure that our neighborhood Festival and all the programs at Spontaneous Celebrations will be sustained. As someone who has personally been impacted by Spontaneous Celebrations & Wake Up The Earth, we ask you to contribute.
