See our "What's Happening" page for the Dance Path schedule.
Dance Path is practice in motion, a container for human awareness enjoyed through movement. Recognizing the power of dance as an amazing medium for celebration, prayer, and insight, we gather to support each other in this experience.
For 2 hours, our life paths intersect in space and time in one room. On a wooden floor under soft colored lights we give our bodies over to the music. The soundscape ranges from ambient electronics to beat thumping hip-hop, from spacious female vocals to Celtic techno. Embarking from a calm invitation, the energy builds, ebbs and flows, pours, pounds, and patters, and returns us gently into stillness.
Group awareness and individual intention exercises are offered in opening, supporting, and closing the container. Amidst this facilitation, the essence of Dance Path remains a free-form dance jam with each body dictating its motion. All ages and dance backgrounds welcome!
